Amy and Dan Halfman

Founders / Owners / Physical Therapists

Amy and Dan have been physical therapists for more than 12 years and they have been practicing in Ankeny, IA since 2017. They both graduated from the University of Iowa Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program in 2011 and began their careers in St. Louis, MO. While working in St. Louis, Amy and Dan both completed several years of advanced clinical training.

Amy is a Certified Manual Physical Therapist (CMPT) and she is certified in functional dry needling (FDN). Amy also has experience working with home health patients.

Dan is a Certified Orthopaedic Manual Therapist (COMT) and has completed a fellowship in orthopaedic manual physical therapy (FAAOMPT). He is also certified in biomedical dry needling (BDN) and has extensive experience with pain science education and neurophysiological dysfunctions. In addition to clinical practice, Dan teaches advanced physical therapy courses all over the country.

With their advanced training, Amy and Dan specialize in treating spine conditions, joint dysfunctions, sports injuries, running injuries, chronic pain, postural deficits, post-operative conditions, injuries from motor vehicle accidents, and workers compensation injuries.

Outside of work, Amy and Dan enjoy sports, exercising, cheering on the Hawkeyes, and spending time with their three children.
